Maggie

Maggie's Story

Written by our former Rescue Coordinator, Terri Coffey:

Maggie is a spayed 2 year old black and tan. She is good with other dogs, horses, cats and people, young and old. She has not been exposed to very young children, but her temperament is so kind and gentle that I don't think there would be any problem. She is a slow eater, and since I feed all my dogs separately, I do not know how she would be about protecting her food. She shows no sign of digging to escape, or stress about being in a kennel. She is currently kenneled at night in a horse stall, but on nice days she is running in one of our dog yards with our other 3 dogs. Maggie was pulled from a home where she was kenneled on a seeping drainfield. She and her kennel mate, Daisy, were knee deep in human waste.

Update:

Another Happy Ending!
Maggie went to live with Cherie & Mike Falk on Saturday. They love her, so does their other bloodhound Sid. Very, very cool. I really liked this dog. She was one of the sweetest that rescue has ever seen. I'm glad Mike & Cherie came along or she may have become a permanent fixture here at the Coffey house!
